Tula is a beautiful little pinto mare with a big heart. She came to us through NMLB as a stray and was very fearful with people at first. Thanks to our training team and volunteers, she has learned that people aren’t all bad and now enjoys spending time being groomed and going for walks. Tula is on the small side and takes some time to warm up to new people, but creates strong bonds with other horses easily. Tula is available for adoption as a non-riding companion horse.
Needs Intermediate Handler: Handler has experience working with reactive/nervous horses and has some problem-solving skills; has the knowledge and skill to de-escalate when a horse gets excited or scared; has some training skills and confidence using them.
