Nahvi was born at THS and has never known abuse or neglect. She is a friendly, beautiful mare with a pretty good brain and a naturally laid-back demeanor. Nahvi has started saddle training and is early in her training, but we really like what we see so far! Stay tuned! At this time, Navhi needs an advanced rider.
Nahvi has been facing a tough hurdle: an aggressive sarcoid on her right eyelid. We tried conventional treatments including chemotherapy, surgery, cryotherapy, and other immunotherapy, but the sarcoid stubbornly kept returning.
That’s when Colorado State University (CSU) Equine Immunotherapy Research stepped in to help.
CSU accepted Nahvi into a new drug trial dedicated to advancing equine cancer therapies. The results so far have been promising. Her sarcoid has already visibly reduced! Even better news? The research team at the CSU Veterinary Health System is sending two additional treatments directly to our veterinarian, Dr. Berkley Chesen, so they can be administered right here at home. This means Nahvi gets the vital care she needs without our ranch manager having to make the long trip with her to Fort Collins again, after three trips already.
We are immensely grateful to CSU Veterinary Health System for their generosity, support, and dedication to giving Nahvi the chance to be the healthy, happy horse she was meant to be.

Needs Advanced Intermediate Rider: Rider/handler is extremely comfortable around horses, is proficient in training and is experienced with unstarted/green horses. Horse is riding in snaffle, stands for saddle, basic steering/stopping/walk/trot/lope, relies on rider management (rein, leg, seat aids) to maintain speed/direction/cadence/posture, not consistent – some flightyness/bucking.
