Elly has been enjoying a well-deserved break from volunteer class and is spending some time simply relaxing and being a horse. She absolutely loves a good brushing or scratch and will stand quietly and politely for both grooming and farrier visits, which is one of her sweetest strengths.
While groundwork remains a challenge for her, we see small moments of progress. Elly can become reactive and a bit pushy when asked to work through even simple tasks, but these behaviors give us a clearer picture of where she needs extra support. She also shows some herd-bound tendencies and can have difficulty staying focused when away from her group, which is something we’re working on gradually and patiently.
With continued consistency, gentle handling, and the chance to build confidence at her own pace, we’re optimistic that Elly will keep making positive strides.
