Mateo is a striking bay gelding with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Known for his playful spirit, he enjoys splashing in the water, goofing around with his herd mates, and stretching out for long, lazy sunbaths.
He is a gentleman for both the vet and farrier, and his sweet nature has made him a favorite among our staff and volunteers. Mateo thrives on attention and would make a wonderful partner for liberty work or leisurely walks — he loves spending time with people.
Mateo is available for adoption as a non-riding companion horse, and he’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and companionship to his new home.
