Gemma is a lovely mare that suffers from aggressive melanomas that are incurable and are progressive. She has a palliative care plan in place to keep her comfortable as long as possible. She loves her best friend El Chapo and will occasionally accept a scratch from our volunteers.
Needs Advanced Beginner: Handler is comfortable around horses, knows basic horsemanship; starting to learn to work with more reactive horses. Horse shows consistent ground credentials; stands tied; forgiving to handler errors.
