Aspen is a lovely gray pinto mare who has been part of THS since 2012. She’s always been more comfortable spending time with her herd than with people, and in her golden years she’s happily taken on the role of herd leader. Although she participated in our volunteer class program for a time, she ultimately preferred not to be the center of attention or fussed over. Now she enjoys her days roaming one of our large pastures, content simply living life as a horse.
Needs Intermediate Handler: Handler has experience working with reactive/nervous horses and has some problem-solving skills; has the knowledge and skill to de-escalate when a horse gets excited or scared; has some training skills and confidence using them.
