Stephanie fell in love with horses from the first time she saw them as a young girl. She began riding western at age 5. At age 8, she transitioned to English riding and started Pony Club and eventing. She continued until she bought her first off the track Thoroughbred at age 12, at which point she turned her attention to hunter/jumper world. Though she loved the thrill of eventing, she became enamored with the precision and discipline of the hunters, jumpers and equitation. She was recruited to ride for the Equestrian team at NMSU, where she graduated with a major in English and a minor in Horse Management. Stephanie has received the All American Honors in Equitation on the Flat for NCAA Varsity Equestrian (now NCEA).
Stephanie has worked for 5 time Olympian Show Jumper Anne Kursinski and is now the Head Trainer at Skybound Farm in Abiquiu, NM. Though she considers hunter/jumpers her specialty, her diverse experience in multiple dsciplines allows her to cultivate a horse’s strengths and allows them to reach their full potential. Stephanie has helped many horses and riders of all different backgrounds.
