January 17, 2022 Rooster continues to be a favorite in the volunteer groundwork class. He is very friendly and loves attention. Rooster has shown some mild herd bound behavior and has also shown aggression toward new horses introduced into his herd. He settles in well when he is the new guy in the herd, however. 2021: Rooster is an older palomino or light sorrel gelding. He is halter trained and loaded nicely into the trailer. He does have a bad right eye that he is most likely blind in and we had removed. Rooster has now been under saddle for almost two months, however we are starting to see some things that we are concerned about. He has tripped multiple times with our trainer and has gone down once while under saddle. We are determining that it is unsafe to continue riding him. He will be available for adoption as companion horse.
