Our Horses

All of our horses are received from the NM Livestock Board or other government agencies. We rarely accept owner surrenders, but do our best to facilitate placement and advise horse owners in need on their options. We do not board private horses for revenue. All of the horses are “in rescue,” and available for sponsorship or adoption. Horses often come to us in terrible shape. They are vetted, quarantined for 30 days, and with much care, restored to normal weight. It often takes 3–6 months for them to recuperate. During this time, they are evaluated to determine age, disposition, soundness and training level. Adoption fees range from $250 for companion horses to $1,000 for very well trained horses.
