2022 Gimme Shelter Challenge

August 25, 2021:

Titus has completed a 60 Day Ground Work Challenge in the summer of 2021!  He did well with the challenge, but is young and is prone to lose focus sometimes.  He is easy to catch, leads and backs well, ties and picks up his feet!

March 12, 2021:

Titus is doing well with ground work. He works well in the round pen, picks up his feet when asked, sends over and around obstacles and loads in the trailer.

November 1, 2020:

Titus enjoys going for short walks and working in the class area. He continues to show growth and gain confidence.

September 1, 2020:

Titus is one of the brightest students in the yearling class!  He is easy to halter, leads forward off gentle pressure well, and enjoys liberty work in the bull pen.  He continues to be easy-going and pleasant to work with.  He is very playful with his roommates and loves to gallop and “horse” around in the pen with the others.

June 7, 2020:

Titus has started liberty work with our trainer in the bull pen and has gained confidence quickly. He is showing more bravery around people and seems to have an easy-going disposition. In the coming months, he will continue to work on his confidence and will start to learn about being on a halter.

Update October 4:

Titus is a quiet and shy boy at first but then will warm up to a new person. He is a cautious guy but seems interested in new things. He will continue to work with our trainer before he is ready to work with our volunteers. Titus received a sponsorship at our June fundraising auction. This sponsorship will help pay for his care until the 2022 Gimme Shelter Challenge.

Titus is a striking little Chestnut/Sorrel colt out of Tilly. He was born at THS early morning on 5/10/19 and was already loping circles at 6:00 a.m. The ground was muddy due to rain and snow and Titus never missed a beat. He really likes to show off just how cute he is while people are watching. Not available for adoption.
