Blood Bay

Update June 9, 2020:

Due to Maggie’s age we feel she is pretty old to start under saddle. She is currently assigned to a volunteer for class. Maggie has become easy to catch, enjoys being groomed and being lunged. She is learning to send over obstacles, through a narrow gate and into a medical chute in preparation for trailer loading. Maggie has become much more relaxed to work with and will make an excellent companion horse. Adoption fee $250.

Update January 17, 2020:

Maggie has continued working on being caught by our trainer and our volunteers.  We held off on continuing to saddle Maggie and riding her due to the lack of progress on the ground with the saddle.  She does have a good start with ground work and understands quite a bit.  She knows how to lunge at liberty and has been exposed to our volunteer class time.  Maggie is a sweet girl who would make a great companion.

Update June 26:

Maggie can be a bit difficult to catch but has been handled by an advanced volunteer that made good progress with groundwork and lunging at liberty. She was recently evaluated by our trainer with good response to groundwork and handled being saddled quite well. She will be started under saddle this summer. Adoption fee: $500

A big, stout, blood bay mare who appears to be a solid Appaloosa mare. She is halter trained, loads and ties. We are still evaluating her further.
