Light Roan

August 25, 2021:

Alba loves to be groomed and is quiet with other horses, both mares and geldings.  Alba loads and unloads in the trailer quietly and calmly.  She is calm with the vet for most things, is good picking up her front feet, but struggles with picking up her back feet.  Alba would make a great companion horse for anyone looking for a gentle, sweet horse that is easy going and mellow with other horses!

March 12, 2021:

Alba continues to be a great class horse. She has learned to relax with new people and is becoming a good grooming horse for new volunteers.

November 1, 2020:

Alba has completed a 60 Day Ground Work Challenge this fall. She continues to be more relaxed in class and enjoys going for walks around the property. The volunteer currently working with her has been working hard to get Alba to be better with picking up her feet but progress has been slow and it is still difficult to pick up her feet, especially her rear feet.

September 1, 2020:

Alba has been doing great in volunteer class.  She will walk over a tarp, load in and out of the trailer easily, and has made progress with picking up her feet for the farrier.  She will participate in a 60 Day Groundwork Challenge this fall.

June 7, 2020:

Alba has recently started to participate in class with the volunteers.  She can still be a bit shy but is now easier to catch and is working on groundwork. She has become more comfortable being around multiple people and does enjoy a good grooming!

Update June 26:

Alba leads well but can get anxious around new people. Once she gets to know you, she is quiet and likes to be groomed. Adoption fee:  $250

Alba is a uniquely colored, light roan mare. She looks to be gaited. Difficult to catch, but very well mannered when being handled. We were able to vet her and float her teeth without sedation. Great companion horse and may be broke to ride.
